Do somebody know which years the different european lenses where used.

I have identified three types of asymmetrical lenses:

1. Early Bosch (looks similar to the symetrical type with the "oval" in the middle).

2. Late Bosch (without the oval)

3. Hella (similar to the late Bosch)

From what I have seen in period factory photos #1 was used at least up to MY 1964 and #2 at least MY 1967. When the shift was made I don't know.

In the Porsche world I have seen from factory photos that MY 1967 911/912 had #3 and early mock-ups of the 901 from 1962 used #1.

I have never seen a factory picture with #3. But, VW sold them as spare parts in the 70's.

Anyone who have additional info?
