I see ads from over 6 months ago with over 20,000 views that seem to be good deals? I have a car posted in great condition for $4500 less than the Low value in the NADA guide ($11,000 less than High value). It has well over 500 views. I have recieved emails, about 10, in the first half hour it was posted asking if "I still got it"?? And a couple of emails asking if I would trade it even up for junk. One person actually called and said they would come out and look, never heard from him again. What gives? |

I can't speak to 914s specifically but yes, people sell cars every single day.
There are a lot of flakes out there though.

This may not be true for various reasons - actual condition, location, etc.
500 views doesn't mean 500 people looked at it. You could could have looked at your own ad 100 times and it would be 100.

Weird that you say that as I only see one email inquiry, asking if you will trade. _________________ How to Post Photos

count me as one of those views: when you popped in and out of chat this morning, I checked out your profile and looked at your ads to see if you had anything interesting... _________________ póg mo thóin

I have bought and sold cars via this website. Tire kickers and promise-seekers are all part of the game. If you want to deal with true freaks of nature, put it up for sale on Craigslist and sit back for offers to trade for guns, knick-knacks, baseball cards, and the like.

a lot pf people buy from this site,. myself included. but there is the whole internet out there looking at your ad,.your gonna get some flakes asking about it no matter whatcha do.
and,.... you have to give it some time,.this is not ebay.
"joined July 27, 2010" 5 days is not a lot of time to wait on a ad, instant sales and no tire kickers are on ebay or the Porsche sites.
you can't argue about the price you pay here for an ad.
free ads are free ads. _________________ Frank

I've bought one Beetle from Ebay, one from some internet used car site I don't recall any more, and one from Thesamba. I was most delighted with the one I bought from Thesamba. _________________ Central Jersey VW Society

I bought my latest 67 on here. Could not be happier. Took about 4 months until one popped up I was looking for but it turned out being only 20 miles away. Search features work well also. Its just a crappy economy. Not a lot of surplus cash to throw around anymore.

I saw this thread in a search and bumped it! I have to laugh! The guy joins in July----posts twice to bitch out the site, cause his ride is not selling---never posts again! Did you sell? Did you donate? _________________ Somewhere there is a jar with your name on it!

Sold my restored '62 Westy here. It took about 10 days. Was not cheap. _________________ Jason McDaniel |
