I need new front end bushing for link/king pin front end. Does anyone know where I can get some, preferably not EMPI?

I love this site for parts. Very user friendly. Just get all the parts at once and save on shipping.

Welcome and Nice build.

Thank You, I will look there later on tonight and see if i can find them. I didn't know there was a strictly German made V.W. parts site. I hope they sell the bushings.

Welcome to The Samba. Sacco also has off road bushing kits. It looks like it rains a lot where you live. A trip to an independent mufflewr shop for a U Bend and a muffler will save your engine's internals from rust.

Nice build! Very Happy I take it the date was wrong on the camera? If not, I'm a little further behind on things than I thought! Laughing

It stays in a garage when I'm not driving it so the rain doesn't affect it much.

I live about 60 miles north of St. Louis.

Yes, the camera's date is way off. We've only owned it for a year.

I do plan on changing the exhaust.

Update: It now has a Holley 2110 (Bugspray) (the 200 cfm model) on it. Very Happy

Can I make a suggestion?
Turn those axle boots 90 degrees, so the seam flexes, and is not being stretched when the axle goes full travel.

I never thought about that, it makes sense. Ill change that today I think. After a while it could have torn up the boot. Thank You.

Think About Putting a Turbo On It. Very Happy Not sure how much it will cost for a used kit. I'll just run a tube from the turbo to the carburetor to pressurize it Pry run like 4 Psi.

Oh dang, I didn't know you were supposed to turn them sideways like that. My VW shop said, "10, or 2 O'clock, just not straight up."

I'm thinking about painting the rims and front end silver. What do you guys think that would look like? Good or Bad?
