|
|
I have heard from someone at Austin Veedub that there is (might be) a difference between the front doors for a Syncro and 2WD vanagon. It comes up as different part numbers in their system.
I am looking to replace a dented passenger door on my '91 Syncro Westy and am wondering if there are any differences (mirror mounting, hinge attachment, latch alignment or electrical...?).
I would like to buy a replacement door and if a 2WD passenger door for the Vanagon is identical to the Syncro then I should be able to locate a match locally.
Thanks in advance for your technical insight. |

Doors are a direct swap...add a 4wd sticker and it is Syncro specific |

Are all the doors swapable between all the models, hatch, and slider? (80-91 with the differences of the power options that is)

Early and late model Sliding doors. Not interchangeable without some serious mods. _________________ ☮️ |

Say a 82 and a 86? are those still early enough to be in the same boat?

I think the sliding doors are the same 80-84 & 85-91. |
