Manny it's great to see you back on this bus. It holds a special place in my heart.
I got a sweet lower outer nose about 4" worth. straight from another local SC. I got various outriggers that can be cut and trimed them to make them fit where needed. I have an upper rear treasure chest opening. It is only missing about 5" off the bottom. I have a left side cab floor ready to be "stomped in". Most inportant I can give you limited supervised access to my personal cardboard template collection. It could prove priceless/worthless depends on how you look at it. I also think I have about 5" of the front of the bed floor (where the cab meets the bed).

that's what I'm talking about, and while you two fight over a pair of socks, I will gladly take that metal, just let me know what I have to do to get my hands on it.
A couple of more pieces and I will almost be there.
I actually scored more parts out of a parts bus this afternoon.
pretty much all I need down below. from shift rod and tube to cross members and rusty outriggers

When I need motivation to do something, the Gorilla Buiscuits song, "Start Today" always gets me going!! I used to love the line "my rooms a mess, and I can't get dressed". Hell Yes. Punk Rock was so cool back in the day before the internet because all the bands were a mystery, you had to actually write to them. And you couldn't walk in to Hot Topic and buy a Crimson Ghost Patch or a studded belt. How times have changed. I write this while the Circle Jerks plays on my laptop, LOL
The southwest Punk Scene was all about Suicidal, Black Flag, Dead Kennedys, of course the Misfits. Speaking of Murphy's Law, did you like Mucky Pup. |

i went back to work on the singlecab today and the first thing I did was was blast the bellows on the on the heads to hopefully not break them inside the heads when it's time to remove the valve covers, and the studs in the heads, *fingers crossed*
I was careful enough to not over spray pb blaster all over everything cause I don't wanna disturb that OG rust look all over that motor.
while I had the pb blaster out, I went back to work on the pedals up front and was able to free up the brake pedal, I couldn't really go ape on the clutch pedal, because there's a bee hive now inside the cab and every time I would shake the bus or hammer, I could hear them inside getting pissed, so one pedal was more than a victory for one night.
and finally I went to home depot to buy some angle iron and there was only one 1'1/2'' x 6' section in the rack, I took it walked to the end of the aisle and realized i left my money at home, so I put it back on the rack, went home, got the scratch, by I got back 10 minutes later, someone else had bought the piece. I cursed for about a minute and settled for 2" angle iron. _________________ LOOKING FOR VELVET GREEN BUS PARTS

Are you fitting metal in the parking lot also??? I like this build btw. It's nice to see a change from a "restoration". _________________ 1960 Bus Panel/Camper |

yup, everything's getting done in that parking lot, I'm planning on driving it out of there when it's all said and done. I ran out of room at home to bring more buses and quite honestly the working condittions in that lot are way better than at my place.
Thanks for your "restoration" comment, I'm glad to see ppl is getting it. _________________ LOOKING FOR VELVET GREEN BUS PARTS
