was browsing on craigslist and saw this baja. got a little chuckle out of me, specially the part about the engine alone being worth 2000, who wants a type three config engine in a baja anyways?

That is pretty funny............. I would grab that car actually if it wasn't so far away and I have a place to put it. Vert baja's are the best and it looks like it is in pretty good shape.

Nothing wrong with T-3 engines. They are the same internally as a Type 1. Just a different cooling system. Besides, that one has a T-1 intake fuel system on it.

Nothing like using your buddies as a cushion for your roll cage!

Someone built their "vision"

Pretty good idea to use the passengers to protect the roll cage. Easier to get new passengers if you roll it.

I think the seats are on the back so someone can hold a spotlight on night runs. I would kick the driver in the head for makin me sit there.

At least when I used those Brat seats for rear seats in my rail, I had the decency to build a rollbar over them! Laughing

Those seats aren't meant for passengers, they're meant for human wheelie ballast!

Good car to go hunting with maybe, Just sit up there with rifle in hand. $1500 seems like a deal to me, but I would only drive it out in the woods. I wouldn't want the city folk laughing at me.

i would just be worried about sucking in mud and water through the fan housing.

it would make a good safari car though.

Purests don't like bajas. I'm not a purest. I don't really like taking an old, old bug and bajaing it, but that thing makes me cringe. Maybe he'll come down a bit on the price. I wonder if he carries special insurance in case of roll overs when he's carrying passengers

Not bad at all. Just remove the back seat and repaint, it would look better.
