they almost look like porsche beehive lights with no rubber seal, but they appear to be a bit smaller.

If you Note the later Denzel Cars, you find different Parts from italian Cars. Like the Lancia-Wheels and breaks. I havo no idea, what kind of taillights were used, but maybe we find the answer in an old Scintilla-Catalogue.
The Picture shows the famous Scintilla-Taillightensemble, Ettore Bugatti prefers for his famous creations. The lenses Looks very similar to the ones you find on the 1948 Denzel, even in its size.
They were also seperate availabe as you can see at this T 57 Atlantic |

The lights on the Denzel are actually smaller then the Porsche Beehives. _________________ Mother Nature is a Mean Evil Bitch! |

Traugott's and Bob's Denzel are both the later ones with the larger pre-A lights. The car Tomasz was asking about is an early Denzel based on a Kdf-Chassis and built in a time nobofy was thinking about a Porsche 356 out of Gmünd. |

sled, not trying to argue...you said they appear to be smaller, and I'm just stating they in fact ARE smaller. Both in diameter and in profile.
When side by side, with the Bee Hives, the Denzel lights are tiny. _________________ Mother Nature is a Mean Evil Bitch! |

I think Bjoern is right. There is also another Guy who Told me they Might Be Scintilla last Week.
If anybody knows were to get 4 of them I would Be very happy because they are missing at our car.
Some Infos about our Car:
It was Build in 1949 As a Four Seater denzel prototype. It is now the oldest survivng denzel in the World. Body was built by Keibl Vienna who built some of the First Porsche Gmünd Cars As well. It is totally different from later denzels because it was built on a volkswagen Platform. |

Look at the first post...I asume it is the one they found....split 16" wheels on a denzel is not that common. _________________ Zelensis, glassfibre body made in Belgium , disigned and built on a VW platform About 25 body's built.

yes you are right. it is exactly this car with the first owner family.
We bought the car directly from his last owner Peter Denzel who owns the car for decades now. unfortunately the car was updated during the years by the Denzel factory in small details like instruments, semaphores, porsche 356 braking system and taillights. But most of the parts are still with the car except from the taillights. The car is in a very nice shape at the moment but we have to change the small details first.
More pictures will follow soon. |
