i just got a 60 bug wanting to make a volksrod hoodride out of her. has anyone ever narrowed and put adjusters in a beam from a 60? my unckle is a welder i just dont know the steps an procedures. if anyone could break it down and walk me thr it it would be greatly apprechated. thanks

When narrowing a king & link pin beam, it is extreamly important that you take great care in getting the right length of the tubes on the finished product.

The length of the tubes is critical to being able to set the camber at the front with the shim chart. If you are sloppy with your assembly and don't watch for this, your beam can be way off the shim chart when you are done.

That makes it impossible to be able to set up the shim pack properly.

This is not quite as important on a ball joint beam because of the eccentrics used to set camber.
