That crew cab is actually pretty cool. That's one of the better truck "conversions" I've ever seen. It's a hack job but at least they put some thought into it. If it is structurally sound I would probably just keep it like it is myself. _________________ "A rolling bus gathers no rust." |

got a 70 deluxe out of the desert, really dry rust free bus, started stripping the bus back to OG paint, lots of sand and dirt, last time on the road was about 1980.

Pick up this 75 today!
Used a towbar to pull it out
Found in Central Massachusetts.
New to type 4 bay windows. All I know is that it's a high roof. Bus is complete. Trans and motor... plan to clean up and drive around for a while. More pictures to come. _________________ 77 Westy - Cape Cod Sage

Some more history about this high top "tub bus". A dude I teach with wanted to trade this bus for a motorcycle. Turns out cash is king. The bus has sat for 10 years and before that looks like had some serious cash thrown at it. We found about $5000 of recipts including a used motor, electrical, tires.... so we pulled this thing to my house for some bay pride rub down.

Really solid for a New England Bus... but who knows it could have been a west coast bus for a long time
Even the slider rail is perfect. Usually a falling off slider door is deal breaker for me
Plan is fix it up at my brother's house in Mass, and hopefully get it to DC sometime next year. _________________ 77 Westy - Cape Cod Sage

possibly hours away from pulling the trigger on a 1979. still has the FI. I feel like there was something about 79s that folks did not like. cant find it in the search. price is great, so not too concerned, but if there is an elephant in the bus, it would be nice to get a heads up |

Thanks, I thought so too. It was fun revealing it It has some of the nicest original paint I've ever had on a bus. It is super straight and unbelievably dry as well. It's too bad it was once water-cooled, the bus sustained some modification damage from that
I've located an original paint Delta Green sliding door (yay!), if you or anyone else has an original paint DG sliding rail cover for the passenger side I would LOVE to have it! _________________ EMPI Power Rules! |

The Heads and Exhaust manifolds are 79 only square port. Look at 'D' for 1979.
thnx old volks
http://www.oldvolkshome.com/2exh7279.htm#251C
So if you need heads or exhaust, you have to hunt down the 79 stuff or change both over to the earlier year heads and exhaust.
Good luck

I was gonna ask if you had a delta green door. I don't have any delta green stuff, but if I find anything, I will let you know. _________________ nothing |
