Apologies if this is somewhere in the Forum. Somehow the search utility doesn't seem to be happening.
I'm moving from Vancouver to Kelowna as is my much-loved '91 vanagon.
The only downside of this move is that I must leave the care of Amin at George and Berny's (who didn't get much of a review here, but whom I've found simply excellent.)
Suggestions re a good mechanic would be very welcome.
Thanks.

I have used Sundance auto in downtown kelowna, for stuff i don't feel like doing myself and he has done great work for me. There is atleast one other vw mechanic I have heard does good work also, but i forget his name and never used him myself.

Have a look for O'Neil Motors at the north end of town. _________________

Hi all I am new to this and sort of new to Kelowna. I have owned my yellow 71 Super Beetle now for 2 years and bought it sight unseen. I had some engine work done in Kamloops at Axells Autobody.
My beetle needed some more work when I moved here and found this forum and the information on Sundance Auto. I took it there and couldnt be any happier.
I have bought parts from cip1 but was curious if there is any other sites to look at for parts?
I am also looking for someone local that does a good job on upholsery. My front seats are badly ripped and are baige, my rear seat has a tear and is white. Id love to change it all over to black.
As well my beetle has a number of small rust bubbles on it and needs a bit of body work, can anyone suggest where to take it?
Thank you everyone for any help and advice you can offer. |

I'm pretty sure O'Neil Motors is gone now. _________________

I have taken my Beetles/Buses to a mechanic in Vernon a few times, many years ago: Partly Dave's Neighbourhood Garage.
I'm not sure if he's still in business, but this guy definitely knows VW's, other German Cars (and motorcycles). He used to have a stash of VW parts as well, even some NOS stuff sitting on the shelf.
Also, AVR has a Kelowna location: http://avrparts.com/ _________________ Neil.
