Perhaps this has already been discussed, but that is a very interesting Karmann Ghia stripe decal you have along the lower sides of you car.
I like it. |
I've since taken it off _________________ Remember, as you travel the highway of life,

Found this 69 a few months ago rotting in a garage. Only had 49k miles, runs great. Going to reprint this winter.

x2 Stance is perfect.
Is that the original interior? If so I'd be interested in photos -- not many white interiors have survived. |

Thanks, I will keep the stance stock and work on the paint. The interior is in pretty good shape, just need to find a good cleaner to wash the seats and a new dash pad.

Let me say it now...as most won't...the stance looks perfect. |
If you are going to leave it as it, and just repaint, then ye the stock stance is perfect. As it looks to be all original, I wouldn't change a thing except making sure all the mechanics are working. |

From what I can see, just clean it thoroughly, clay bar and wax, and run her as is!!! looks pretty fine to me! |

I was able to find an old German mechanic who specializes in air cooled, he went threw the car an was amazed how well it was preserved. The carbureter need some adjustment, new breaks all around, some fresh fuel and she's good to go!! Runs great, (can't remember the last time I listened to AM radio) but surprised how good it sounds. I will try the wax and clay bar and post a before and after pix. Thanks for the input. |

Very cool. Don't change a thing that can't be unbolted and changed back. Drive it! _________________ 63 ghia coupe |

Got this 64 in Indiana this weekend. Waiting for it to make the trip down to Florida.

Dealer installed? That's got to be rare in itself, and even more rare if documented! Nice. |

I am still trying to get the documentation for the engine install. I do have the docs to verify the mileage. If I can get the documentation for the dealer install, it will be quite a find.
