I know that for a lowered ball joint front end that you can go to any parts store and get mid 80's Nissan hard body truck front shocks. Wha-la, you've got you "lowered shocks".
Is there a similar application for lowered link pin front ends.

there are lowered bug shocks specifically made for VWs. Both ball joint and King and link.
