well, since last update not much has happened. I have ordered my new beam from punchdrunk customs and Matt is building it as i needed, also ordered my steering wheel, adaptor and horn button so i can install that after the new beam is in. Just placed an order with mid atlantic motorworks for some interior details and more brake line for the res. Sending out my speedo to get restored hopefully this week, i have alot of confussion on adding a bunch of gauges to my dash. I want to know what is going on but dont want to cut up the metal or make it look to busy, if anyone has any good pictures of some setups it would help me alot.

i was originally going for a resto custom, becoming more of a custom with a few og qualities. Yes the dings are fustrating, but i am just more excited to drive it. Whether it is pristine or banged up it is still a classic and i will drive with pride.

Received my new beam on saturday, cleaned and degreased it yesterday and sprayed 3 coats of epoxy paint on it letting it dry for a day and going to tackle putting it in either tomorrow or thursday. Started to tear apart the front end for the swap, after it is all reinstalled i plan on finishing the brake res and bleeding out the brakes, sit it back on the ground and drool. Gauges next then engine compartment. Its getting closer. Twisted Evil

He hee hee, just having a chuckle at the axle stands under the old beam, you will need to move them before you unbolt the old one or the body will fall

Yes, I know. Noticed that also when I went to loosen the beam bolts from the head. Hope to get it in today.

Wow its been a long time since i have updated/posted . Since january i have finished my dash, sent my speedo away to get refurbished, got my steering wheel worked out, brakes finished, new billet running boards, wired the dash and tested, lights/turn signals work, painted my tank, added a fuel guage and sender, installed my beam and adjusted it , fixed part of my ragtop where a piece had broken off, installed a retrosound radio and dual voice coil speaker, installed the right wiper assembly, finally picked up some wipers, installed led taillights, double checked all the bolts and nuts from front to rear seat. Just got back from bugout and got alot of parts to hopefully get the the rear ready for the motor around christmas time ( gift to myself ). I am coming to the final stretch on finishing this awesome little car so i can build my daughter one too. Here are some pictures of the recent progress.

here is the decklid installed with the spacers, having some clearance issues big time, led tails are installed and wired, trunk is finished, tank bolted down and fuel lines secured, all grounds have been checked. Motor will be on call within the month. Got my speakers, just waiting for the rear speaker shelf to come in so i can build my enclosure for my sub.
