i have an avenue of getting a 74 412 auto trans
whats the diff from the T3 and T4 autos and
whats the diff of Auto trans in diff years of 411s and 412s?

The type 3 auto is 3.67:1 final drive. The 411 had 3.67:1 until august 1970 with twin carburetteors. Everything after that got 3.91:1 final drive.
They are all based upon type 3 ...003 gearbox. They can all be swapped except that 68-69 automatic type 3's with flanged side covers will cause you to need to swap the inner CV joints on your shafts to use them. Ray |
