Hey guys, on a 61, should the VW logo on the hubcap be gloss or semi gloss black?

My original black-centered hubcaps do not look glossy.

Wow those are sharp. I am restoring a 61 Turquoise sunroof. The wheels are supposed to be sea green and turquoise white. After spending $800 on 5 Coker wide white radials I couldn't stomach the $750 our Glasurit /RM dealer wanted for the 2 pints of paint with hardener and reducer. I had our local Benjamin Moore dealer scan my wheel and mix the colors. I have sprayed their version of sea green and it looks beautiful. I am going to wait at least 24 hrs to let it dry before I mask them and spray the light green on the rim.
Hopefully it turns out ok.

I painted these for my Bahama Blue bug. The green is close to the stock door panel color although it doesn't look like it. The center is Bahama Blue.

Love original two-tones. Here are some of mine, I have two more like in the top left, green/white. Working on more photos. Have one more like the brown/white in bottom right, dated '60 I think.

Cadium Red/Stone Beige....have two like this, and still need to paint strip another.

They are 560-15 Royaltons bought here.

Here's another thread for info and more pictures.

They should be mounted on the car in less than a couple years. Razz

Im not sure what happened to the pic in my other post, but I could not edit it.

Digging up an old photo, but coming up short on an answer. Cannot seem to find anywhere that has the L247 mixture. Mind if I ask where you found the Pine Green?

And while I'm at it, according to WW, L247 outer rim is correct for '58 L240 car. Is that correct? Seems too dark. Any photos showing this combination on car?

Unfortunately its not its factory colour, its now savannah beige. The wheels are currently just painted in a creamy white colour but I fancy doing them two tone.
