Hey all, just as the title says.
got my dash apart enough to pull my tachometer face.
Small Car instructions says use a pair of spoons as small pry bars...
seems to me a fork works better with the shaft between the tines, and the tines prying on the back of the needle.
anyway, my needle seems to be on there real tight. I don't want to break it.
any tips on how to get it off ? I gotta get that needle and face off to put a 7k face on.
thanks !!
derp, never mind...it came off with a twist rather than a pull. |

hey...got the new tach face on.
Small Car tach faces and Go Westy's are both spammed with their company names...no thanks, I don't want Small Car.com on the face of my tach.
I figured if I used a sharpie pen or any kind of paint I'd still see a different gloss level.
so I thought I could just cut off the lower portion of the new face in an arc that was aligned with the top of the cutout for the coolant and fuel windows.
it worked great. the new face is sort of simi matt and the old face is matt. but the Small car.com logo is gone and it looks nice and clean.
you can't really see the cut edge in the pic...but it looks sweet in person.
