I searched for previous feedback threads but could not locate anything.
Matt is an awesome guy. He knows narrowed beams well. He has helped me a lot and I volunteered to leave him good feedback on TS for all the great help he has provided me with. Check his stuff out.
thanks.

Matt's awesome! He knows his stuff and is willing to sit and chat with you about what you are trying to accomplish. He's not going to nickel and dime you to death of stupid things like adding $70 per inch of narrowing or charging you more for shock towers. His beams are 1 price and that's the way it should be! Good price too, especially the quality of his builds. He also sold me some rims that he had! _________________ - Chris

I just got my 4" Narrowed beam today and it looks better than most beams out there on the market. Matt did an awesome job and I will have it all installed on my bug tomorrow with pics. I plan to buy more from Matt in the future. |

Matt is a stand up guy and backs up his work. I will only buy from Matt for now on. here are some pics. my car doesn't get a full 4" due to having 1/2" spacers on each wheel to clear the lower B/J.

WOW!!!!!!!!!!!
That is all I have to say about the quality of work Matt did on the 4" beam I purchased. Matt was very nice to deal with.
This beam is far better then expected. Welds look great, it was packed very well for shipping, Could not ask for anything else. Well maybe a sticker if he had one.
I would highly recommend Matt if you are looking for a beam. Very nice work.
I do not know Matt just wanted to give great feed back for the quality of work I got.
Matt Thank You Very Much,
One happy customer

July 27th - first asked about a bus air beam
August 6th - Sent $1,250 via paypal. Was given a 2-3 week time frame.
August 14th - Called and changed to a standard 4" (FOUR) beam.
September 9th - Was told that my 5" (FIVE) beam was 'out of the jig' and just needed the welding finished.
September 22nd - No word, so I sent a message asking for a side plate template so I could as least start on my work. No word back.
September 30th - Called to talk to him, was told he was with a customer and would call back in 15 minutes. No call back till following day.
October 1st - Received a call back and said he'd send a side plate the following monday. (October 3rd)
October 6th - Were only about 1.5 hours apart, thinking shipping shouldn't take 3 days, I gave him a call. I was told that he shipped it, but not monday.
October 8th - side plate arrived, was actually shipped out October 6th.
October 14th - Gave Matt a call today. No answer, left voicemail that I finished what I can do without the beam. It has now been 10 weeks, and I let him know that I'd have to cancel the order if I couldn't pick up a finished product soon. I'll edit post as things change.
Nothing wrong with Matt, he's a good guy. Looking forward to getting a quality built beam from him. However, had I known it would have taken this long, I would have built it myself and saved the money or ordered elsewhere. I've talked to a couple other people who have ordered from Matt with only a couple week wait time, so hopefully my cause is an anomaly and not the norm. |

I have more feedback since I put the beam on and drove the car.
It has been a long process getting my bus built.
I will note that the top adjuster hits the shift rod ( I have a 58.)
It makes it impossible to reach reverse at the height I have it set at. I am looking to change the size of the bolt head or the type of bolt that goes into the adjuster so it will clear the shift rod. I had to lower it another click so that it would clear in the mean time. (now i'm raked )
Minor problem- I am also disapointed that the beam does not come with zerk fittings so that you can grease it. I did drill and tap new ones in zerks are like .40 cents each. for future greasing- Would just be nice if it was complete. _________________ 1958 PGSG Standard |

Oops.. forgot to update this!
October 22nd - Picked up the beam after 11 weeks. Beam looks real good, super nice clean welds. I will also tap in some zerk fittings.
Didn't get the remainder of my money back like I was hoping for (I originally paid $1250 for the air beam, but ended up only with a $650 beam). He said it would take a few weeks to get the money together. Today is 2 weeks from pick up and haven't heard anything yet.
Will update again when I get my balance back. |
