I have posted a few times randomly about a 61 type 1 I Used to own.
Hoping to find it or at least see what became of it. Is there a thread or discussion started where people can post a description, a timeline and location as well as VIN#?
I think it would be beneficial and fun for people .

Sorry for the snarky reply, but there are sites like this:

A PI may be able to seek registration information easier than an ordinary citizen.

I bought a 1970 VW in 1972. I went looking for it, found it in my garage this morning, drove it to senior softball.

Moral of the story: if you sell or have sold your old VW - you WILL regret it !!!

Cusser , direct and to the point as always. However my Goodman the question wasn’t “will I regret it”?😳 simply wondering if there are other “regretful” fellows and ladies who have started a thread regarding this. Life’s not always the way we want it . So the circumstances that we may have been experiencing at the time , that basically made it necessary to let go of a VW as well as many things are irrelevant now and therefore I search. Hoping to finish what I started. Ya dig?

I lost count of how many I’ve owned some for just a few hours as they changed hands. I’ve let some nice ovals and early type 2s slip away. I can see where some would get sentimental though I had a camper that saw a lot of action if you know what I mean. Maybe it’s better gone probably smells like bathroom door on a tuna boat.

To answer the OP question, yea there have been threads on the subject. I've never seen one result in a find, though.
