Hey guys,

Bought a repro set of Robris from cip1 to go on my 55 ragtop. I brought this up a month or two ago, these things do not want to fit right on the rear fenders.

Has anyone out there successfully got these repops to fit right? Any pics to show? Plunked down some good change to put these on my resto and they just do not go on right.

Any info would greatly help.

Chris

A friend of mine bought the same set and had the same problem! He tourched and heated them to fit. After that process they required re sanding and polishing!! But I thought after he told me what he did they would look like crap! But they looked great! He was able to get them to fit almost perfect. Those guards never fit right when their new!! You have to workem!! I might have a pic ! If I do Ill post it later.

That's exactly what I mean, you spend all this money (well at least I spent over 200.00) to put these things on and they don't fit. The tall empi 30.00 ones fit better.

I may just call cip1 to return.

Any pics would be great!

i agree, you pay a lot of money for decent quality (and the metal is nice and thick), but they don't fit?

i think i've had mine too long to return now...
