Hi all, I've been wondering for a while what to set the tracking on the front suspension on Limey to.
As it's fairly high, the amount of toe that I'm dialling in is a lot and it's not feeling as I'd like on the road. I know that the extra height will account for some of this but even so, what are you guys setting your jacked up Syncros to?

Cheers.
MG

You shouldn't need to dial in a lot of toe, I'd set that to 0 or at most 1/8" of toe-in. The caster is the thing you should be messing with. Lengthen your radius rods an equal amount, maybe 1/4" at a time, and see how it feels. You'll need to reset the toe when you change the caster.

Have you seen this?

Thanks for your reply.

I haven't measured the caster but I know from other peoples experience that when you go as high as I have, you run out of adjustment so for the moment, I've set the tie-rods to full adjustment back. In an ideal world, I need to have some longer tie-rods made up to get it back into spec.

I'll have a good read of Dereks' info.

Thanks again

I've seen others use a coupling nut and allthread to extend the radius rod. You don't usually see hardened allthread rod so a bolt might work better. Looks like it's M18x1.5.

i brought the castor back about 1/2 inch on mine as i was just touching the front corner of the arch flare. the steering is a lot lighter in feeling and not quite as stable at speed but after a while i got used to it. it doesn`t bother me atall now.
