I got 3D max a week ago and decided to try and learn the basics of modeling. I've used other programs like ACaD and Maya. But this is by far the best modeling program.
I was just messing around with the program for a few days to see what i was able to produce. Im basically just doing the exterior shell. the Modeling is kinda crappy because im learning, so i dont think I will have full interior, pan etc... MAybe Ill make another.
Let me know what you think. Enjoy.

The modeling is kinda crappy? You are much too modest. Any plans to tackle other VW models? _________________ West Virginia State Board of Education v. Barnette, 319 U.S. 624 (1943) |

ha thanks, the way ive been working (making a body shell rather than full 2-sided parts) makes it difficult to go back and make things solid looking. I guess I can but I really am just using this as rough practice for technique.
I actually wanted to do a single cab, but after a few hours I realized i dont know much about the way the body parts were segmented... so i gave up(for now)

I did more work on the back. decklid and vents. vents are tough.
I just gotta do small stuff like tailights, handle, wipers, and runningboard trim.

cool man, I need to learn solidworks too. A lot of these programs are similar. you start with a regular box or whatever and extrude ends and points til you get the shape youre after.
