|
|
Greetings All,
I've got an original vintage steering wheel, with no mounting hub assembly. I've researched and find scant info as to whether the Flat 4 hub can in fact be "modified" to mount the wheel. The kit from CIP1 is $130.00 mind you... ; )
I've tried a Grant GT wheel mounting kit with no success. There's not enough meat beyond the existing threaded holes to modify it for the old EMPI wheel.
Is the Flat 4 hub any larger...as to allow more room for drilling & tapping the new holes?
Is there anyone out there who's pulled off this mod?
Cheers! - Rost _________________ 1966 Beetle Sedan | Slammed Patina Car | 165's / 135's | 5" narrowed | Smoothies | Empi GT Wheel | Copper Hurst
