i want one too. That buzz from cabon monoxide being pulled in when driving is great. Use it only when you are camping. _________________ “Most people don’t know what they’re doing, and a lot of them are really good at it.” - George Carlin |

I hate to be a parade rainer, but wouldn't that suffer from the same problem that the opening windows in station wagons did effectively causing them to be banned? Ie sucking in exhaust fumes and kind of making the occupants unconscious / dead?
That's not a bad price really though. It looks strong The price also isn't much different from an opening quarter window kit. You U.S. people have no idea how lucky you were to get them from the factory. i would really love openable quarter windows. I miss having them so much. _________________ Vehicle: 1975 Special order delivery walkthrough panel based pop-top camper (LCA / Sunliner). Its awesome. I love mine. I paid a lil more than the $339 tho.
They will kill you if you drive with it open, so don't. I think I have install pics in my 69 bus thread in my signature. _________________ MAKE FORUMS GREAT AGAIN

I don't have any problems driving with it open as long as the front windows and all the vent wings are open too. Otherwise it gets a little stinky |

Im just thinking about a magnet screen for the inside and how awesome the air would be sleeping in the summer..I wouldnt drive wtih it open..
My questions are about leaks ( bus sits all winter out side) and replacement seals. _________________ 78 hightop 2.0 FI

Magnets! That's brilliant. I was thinking the same thing but wouldn;t dare use it without a flyscreen. My two sliders and of course the pop top canvas (the roof vent used to until I removed it) had screens. Now I think of it is there any kind of camping vehicle that doesn;t have them? _________________ Vehicle: 1975 Special order delivery walkthrough panel based pop-top camper (LCA / Sunliner). Mine sits outside. Doesnt leak at all. I set the brackets up where it closes snug. I wonder if the seals are available through WW. _________________ MAKE FORUMS GREAT AGAIN

Yup yup, i've had them in a couple of buses and no issues with leaking.
The seals are the same as front safari seals for split buses. If Wolfgang won't sell you an extra seal, then you can get one long enough from Werksberg

Has any one installed a Carbon Monoxide(CO) detector after installing their safari rear window? To see if dangerous gas levels are building up in the cabin?
I have a CO detector in my bus because it came with a stock BN4 cabin heater; wouldn’t f feel safe using it without one; (deadly odorless invisible gas…)
I have the older version of the one below, it woks great in my camper, it’s only gone off twice; once when I ran the engine too long in the garage, and the other time when I was out camping and my BN4 was sucking CO into the cabin from the smoldering coals that where in a fire pit next to the bus…
