Cannot wait for the National Reciprocity Act to pass. |
Do you suppose that has any chance of happening any time soon? I would welcome it. |
It will pass. Too many instances already w/ good people, legally able to CCW in their home state...cross a river to another state and they become felons. That is not right. Like that mother of 2 from PA who crossed to NJ. She was facing 15 years for firearms violations in NJ but she was legal in PA.
That Rice dude beat up his GF and he was able to go into this pre-trial intervention program so he does not have to go to jail, whilst this woman who had done nothing wrong other than crossing into NJ by mistake is facing a long jail sentence.
She was let go by the way, same way that Gov. Christy had to pardon that guy who bought legal firearms in CO and somehow got thrown in jail in NJ.
There is a real need to have it passed. Even IL now has passed a CCW law. I drive I-80 and before you can pass thru that state w/ firearms -had to be disassembled and locked up. Now, out of state CCW can have the firearms loaded and carried in the vehicle while driving across IL. And they also have provisions so you can come out of the vehicle w/ your loaded firearm and be able to secure it in the trunk of your car. BEfore you can get arrested in IL for having it outside the vehicle.
Recent events have made anti-gun states more anti-gun, but only strengthened pro-gun states even more. Just look at GA, FL and AZ... |

People who legally own firearms are really good, responsible, honest people. You would have to be to be able to purchase legally. This is the one fact that anti-gunners refuse to recognize.
Criminals do not care about gun-controls. Hence, they are criminals. But anti-gunners lump us all w/ them in their minds. Sad.
I hate looking at an AR-15 that is neutered and have not a bayonet lug. I have one on my highpower practice rifle. now we can have bayonet lugs again. Dont even show anti-gunners a plastic pistol-grip....yea, that will really make a firearm even more dangerous. |

I suppose there could be an argument on the subject no matter which way you look at it. I guess it could have something to do with where your from, what type of experiences some people have had or maybe ones personal perspective on personal protection considering everything that's going on around us.
It may just be pure luck but after 21 years in the military and as of my discharge from the military in 1985 I had been in more countries that I have states I have never felt the need to carry a weapon. The old saying that it's best to have a self defense weapon if you need it than it is to not having one at all, is just one way to justify having it in the first place. If some feel more comfortable with a weapon that's ok. I'm neither for it or against it. _________________ Pearl White 1966 Sedan

Who else are you supposed to call? I don't carry any weapons except my own wits. And those are often questionable. _________________ Brian

I think this one being fired is either an 'A' or 'B' gauge _________________ Remember, as you travel the highway of life,

Wow. Quite a few folks here seem to be very anxious to meet violence with even more violence. Has anyone considered considered " carrying your wits" as an alternative??? Doesn't sound like it. Flame suit on here. |
I'm not anxious to change a flat tire late at night, but I carry a jack, spare tire, and a flashlight. I'm not anxious to have automobile crashes, but I wear my seatbelt at all times. I'm not anxious to die, but I have life insurance. I'm not anxious to........ You get the picture |
Well said.
A gun is like a parachute. If you need one, and don't have one, you'll probably never need one again. |

Any quality issues with it? I have heard that their quality was spotty for a few years. My boss has one of their compact 9mm's that he really likes. Not the most accurate over a long distance, but that isn't really the intent either. _________________ nothing |
