Headed out last weekend to the rhody sale at Crystal Springs. The volunteers had a cow when I pulled up in this to pick up our plants.
You never know when you are going to find something too big to fit inside the van.

AH, super nice! The thought of my Essen trailer sitting in the shed for an unknown amount of time while I was without a hitch made me depressed, so I went nuts on Friday heavily modifying my Jamie hitch so the receiver is behind the middle of the bumper. This meant sitting b the hole in the bumper for the receiver tongue, but my bumper was already a bit dented and at some point I'll find a better one. I also had to modify the muffler at the flange so it hung at a slightly lower angle. But at the end of the day I made it work...so now I have the hitch back, and the right header exhaust to work with my Camper Special. Whew, productive weekend!

Just installed a custom made hitch on my 69 deluxe bus. I bought it from jeremyrock, here on the samba. Fit like a glove. Took longer to tap the six holes than it did to install the hitch.
When I get my bumper back on I will take a picture of the bus towing a 71 two wheel Allstate trailer I just finished bring back to life. |

Here is a picture of my 69 deluxe getting ready to do a maiden run with a 1971 Allstate trailer that I brought back to life. It has all of our camping gear in so the wife and I can go in a moments notice. lol

Going to check out this trailer over the weekend.
https://asheville.craigslist.org/tro/d/colman-versa-trailer/6518626858.html
Any opinions on price? What would you offer?
From the pics I was going to offer $100 (tires look shot), but may go up to 2. Depends on what it looks like in person.
Appreciate the advice. _________________ 78 Westy |
