Here are some holes:
The 1-2 side. The one below the cheesehead screw, and the one in the head to the left of the stud. I assume I'm to plug them both?
The 3-4 side. Again, the one to the left of the stud, and the big one in the sheet metal. Plug 'em? _________________ 1974 Westfalia "Ludwig"

on somewhat original engine i took apart recently the holes adjacent tot he intakes there were simple filled with a tin screw and slightly larger washer.
onthe 3/4 side that hole normally has a grommet for the head temp sensor on FI engine, for sure plug it _________________ May of '72 Deluxe. 2.0L L-Jet CS & 091 trans conversion

the threaded holes on each side of the intake ports are for air injection, smog stuff... you can plug 'em with an M10x1.00 bolt, about 2 1/2 inches long... the other hole in the tin just need plugged somehow... _________________ you can find me under a Dub...
