Black fender welt, black bumpers and stock side trim that is painted black is already on the list. It is getting adjusters welded in the front beam this Monday, and the rear is being re-indexed for more lift. I put a stock muffler on it last week as well.

That will look real nice. Please post another picture when you do.

What about the running boards? Any plans on reinstalling them?

Aint No Hippie. Nice. Laughing I don't know why I missed that before.

I must say, you look pretty happy in that aggressive looking Bug. She's built like a tank and ready to roll.

The stock muffler looks a lot better. The other one looked like an abnormal growth.

Now stop teasing and get those black accoutrements installed! Wink

Okay, I got the bug back last night so that I could put it in the car show at church today. It will need to go back to my friend that is building the bumpers for me, for some more welding and for him to complete the side running bars. I am VERY pleased with this bumper! I will eventually paint the bumpers, rack, trim and side bars with black bedliner, and I will put more coats of the olive drab bedliner on the body. I hope you enjoy the pictures...

Totally sweet car- perfect choice of finish! The old school baja guys around here tell me to spray the car down with WD-40 prior to getting it dirty, makes for an easy clean up (but maybe not for the greenies) Anyway, I'm building a 68 class-11 looking bug all suspension lift. It's a beater old bug so I don't care what happens to it- I was debating the Upol for the inside... I like your complete job of it! I put Upol on a lot of VW restos, undersides, whatever, this stuff is great. I repainting a KILLER TDi converted Syncro Vanagon and it's getting the Upol job underneath as well as along the bottom quarter of the outside. Perfect to fight that nasty desert brush.

I know that many of the guys preach stock, stock, stock. From the darkside perspective, I think it's bad ass ! Love the look.

I got a sneak peak of the side bars he made at my request. I wanted tube side bars with expanded steel on them. He sent me the photo from his phone. I will get the bug back tonight and take some pictures this weekend.
