Hi all,

I'm looking for an automatic transmission filter (010 325 421) for a Bay Window '78 (2.0 FI)

Does anyone have any idea where can I get one?

Many thanks in advance.

Kind Regards,

Alberto

Give NAPA a call. You might have to get a kit with all of the seals.

ECS tuning has them. There part number ends in an "A" but there are pics of the three brands that they carry so one or all of them should be correct. Hope this helps. Bob

NAPA lists the kit as well as the filter only.

Filter only part # ATP17214

Kit with filter and gaskets part # ATP17215

Hi sodbuster, Hoody, kevin77westy,

Thanks for your info.

I have sent an email to ECS and had a chat with NAPA. The second was neither able to find it and the first, has not responded yet.

The filter I'm looking for is square, but only the round one is available.

There is a Chinese website (yoyopart.com -B91) like Aliexpress and a couple of sellers have it, but I'm not 100% confident with them, so if you know another seller in the States, is more than welcome

I Upload the pics of the filter.

Price is right. This usually indicates they are out of stock. But contact them it may be worth a try.

Here is the odd thing. when searching out either 010 325 421 or 010 325 421A it still gives you the round screen filter. it has been over a decade since I've been up to my elbows in one of these. Vw and Audi used the 010 automatic section on a wide veriaty of cars and buses over the years. That square filter may be a later model year upgrade someone did or you have a later model 010 automatic or dealer rebuild installed in your bus. I'm willing to bet the kit with the round style screen will work on your trans.

I double checked on those part numbers I posted and they are still good on my end. those are NAPA part numbers. I would find out who the smart one is at the local NAPA store and deal with them. Because it sounds to me like the person that helped you was not the sharpest tool on the bench if he could not find a NAPA part number.

Thanks a mill SGKent, sodbuster and Tcash.

I went mad looking for this part and as you said, with or without "A", always you see the round one.

Unfortunately, the round one doesn't fit.

I will order the square one provided by you. Hope they send to Spain ; )

I would like to say thanks to all of you for your help.

Kind Regards,

Alberto

I also have one of the 010 transmissions that have the rectangle filter. I found a place out of Florida that has them and ships worldwide.

Filter 010/089 Rectangular 1975-76: 010-325-421
Filter, 010/087/089/090 Round 1977-Up: 010-325-421-A
