Another great photo of a very early vintage un-enclosed "tourist train" looks like it was taken in Austria, heading South maybe......Italy?

Not sure if I've already posted these somewhere, but here goes...
My earliest recollection of VWs was this family vacation back in 1957 or '58 in our early '55 Deluxe (semaphore and bubble-taillight equipped) Sunroof Beetle (I wish I could remember the color). We lived in suburban L.A. and we all went north thru the San Joaquin Valley, probably prior to Interstates, to visit distant relatives up in Sacramento, where this photo was taken. That's my parents Bill and Abina with myself and my sister Kathie and our early '55 Beetle. From this point on we always had a VW in the family, I remember several different Ovals fondly (and now I own a unrestored "first paint" '55 Sunroof).
Then we crossed the Sierras and came back southward towards L.A. on Hwy 395, stopping somewhere for this photo with the amazing rock formation backdrop on the way home. Get those darned rugrats of the hood of that Oval!
My Mom passed a few years back at 82, and my Dad who was an L.A. County Sherriff for many years is still doing great at 84 up in Idaho! My sister Kathie lives near me here in the burbs of St. Louis, and still helps staff our BNNTA VW camping weekend that I host every Labor Day weekend. Our family had lots of old VWs throughout the years, so you can see where I caught the "disease"...
