I do! Here's what I'm thinking. Since these seem to be few and far between, especially used, I'm wondering if any of you guys would be interested in a deal that I'm thinking about. I know that most of us don't want to crack off the $140 plus shipping for one of our own for what's probably a one time use.
Would any of you be interested in it if I buy one? I'm thinking an honesty policy "rental" to help get each of ours done cheaper. I'd like to think we're all friends here and can trust eachother with something this simple. Depending how many would be interested would depend on a usage cost. I'm not looking to MAKE money, just SAVE money. I've done this once on another forum for specialty tools and it's worked out decent.....as long as timing isn't a factor typically.
Let me know what you guys think and I'll get one on order. I'd prefer to keep it in the states namely for time and shipping cost.

Ya I guess not lol. I thought it was a pretty good idea myself! I'll give it a few days or so and maybe bite the bullet. I was hoping for a few more takers, but we shall see. |

With a king and link pin front end suspension setup after the king pin bushing is pressed in it needs to be reamed with a king pin reamer so its an exact fit.
If you needed to change out spindles or put in new king and link pins in it would be needed.
They cost around $140 new and it is getting harder and harder to find old ones. It may be a tool you would only use once, unless you plan on doing alot of spindles.
My local shop quoted me about $160 in labor to do mine. I assume that's doing everything, but I'd like to save a little $$ and do it myself |

I am in the process of ordering my new beam, drop spindals, and King and Link Pins.
I would like to go ahead and reserve the Reamer for when the parts arrive.
I am in North Carolina.
Just let me know what I need to do.
Thanks. |
