In my 66 ghia convertible, I sent the factory clock to North Hollywood Speedometer to be converted into a 6,000 rpm tachometer, a replica of the hard-to-find accessory ghia tach except made for 12V instead of 6V.

Where did you get the gauge panels on the dash? Are they metal or plastic?
Good looking tach mount, BTW. I hadn't thought of mounting it up there! |

CIP sell the panels for the dash, they are metal.
I wanted the tach somewhere I could see it without having to look at my knees all the time. The wife had one mounted like that before and I hated it. _________________ http://www.thesamba.com/vw/archives/manuals/jim_martin_engine_build.php

Why would you mount a tachometer on your wife? _________________ 1966 Karmann-Ghia convertible |
