I am almost done with rebuilding my motor and getting it back into the car. I have a different flywheel than I had originally on the car and am installing the pressure plate. All instructions I read in all literature specify to line the plate up with the mark made on the flywheel when removed. My issue is, it is a different flywheel. What is the procedure for putting the pressure plate on without being able to position it as it was removed? Just put it on in star pattern and torque correctly?

Thanks

Yes. Both assemblies are typically balanced in manufacture, so you'll most likely be fine. Torque the six bolts as per the manual. A clutch pilot/alignment tool (or an old broom handle) for the disc alignment is very useful when you tighten those.
