I think he meant the third generation of the T1 setup, not first generation (Barndoor?) of our buses. If that is correct, I wouldn't a first generation prototype kit that didn't even make it out of the lab. Looking forward to seeing the final product!

Still not too much in here about the price point at all. Everyone seems to be looking at the front end available from the UK as the price to beat...nobody has mentioned that as a price point, it may need to be compared to other makers of front ends in the US. If I had to decide between a complete front end (narrowed beam, drop spindles, big disks, adjustable, with shocks) and this one I would choose the most complete, best brakes and least costly. Not the bar-none best handling front end....this is a bus. I have a Superbike for speed and handling.

I like the idea of this front end. If it was available at different levels of performance would be good. : Kit Form
Retain steering box option
different widths available
different drops available
adjustable perches and sway bars
Wide five or porsche
easily alignable

That's my 2 cents, Gordo.

Guys and gals,

Realy sorry to say Santa Claus is running late. We have yet again run into some hold ups on the suspension kits. I'm truely sorry I posted anything up about it at this point because a I feel as if I'm leading you guys along. When we developed the Type 1 suspension it was for our own cars and we had not talked about selling it by itself.

I can post pictures up here or make them public in anyway for many reasons. Hope you guys understand.

Sorry guys to leave you hanging.

we are on the third generation of the designs for this product and have had to stop due to other projects that have had to be pushed forward. So in a nut shell at this time the project is on hold until we can spare more time for it.

I wish I had better news.....

I'd love to buy a setup- not necessarily at $$$ though.

So given the delays, would anybody be interested in crowdsourcing a design here that we could opensource and build?

Just so you guys know, we are still trying to get this right and are on our third generation of design. Things are looking good to get this generation into production so far.... We'll keep you posted, this has been three times as hard to design propperly then the type one suspension.... Uggg

The Red9 design is as narrow as they can make it with the lower arms. Otherwise you end up with odd handling as the wishbones aren't long enough. Also the Akerman angle of having a 4" narrower front end are awful.
Red9 have managed to sell over 100 wishbone front ends with one of the worlds worst customer service. They never have any in stock, even though they tell you that when you pay 100% up front. Then you wait weeks/months for it to be built and if you call them, they are doing your one at this very moment. Even though they told you the same story 4 weeks ago.
All you guys need to do is build one that is the same and have them in stock to beat having to wait 6-9 weeks as other Red9 owners have had to.

Thanks- I think you can see from here there's a lot of interest.

Can you give any details of when you think you might have some initial production?

Will the mendiola T1 rear suspension work on on split bus? I know it's swing, but that easy to weld in the inner brackets....

What about a swaybar for narrowed beams.
I am ready to buy a swaybar for my narrowed beam.
