OK, I just looked through all the stock paint colors listed here on The Samba as being available for the Karmann Ghia, and I don't see "Antelope Brown" listed anywhere.
Was the same color known by another name (perhaps color names varied by country as a regional marketing thing?), or was the car pictured painted an original VW color that was never available on a Karmann Ghia? |

Thanks!
That still doesn't answer my question about why the Antelope Brown color is missing from the color information here on The Samba?
Just an oversight, or was it a regional color offering?
... and where's my picture of the Antelope Brown Ghia parked next to a Cognac Ghia since your so helpful?
That really is a knockout color combo though, isn't it? Just beautiful. |

The Cognac I have seen I would call copper. It just does not sound as alluring as Cognac |

finally getting around to filling the holes after scraping off the bondo. using the bolt on method discovered here on the forum. i also got the rest of the bumper parts that were missing....even though i kind of like the single blade, i felt since the car was delivered with "ram protection" i should oblige it. found some rustina parts up the road in canfield, oh. more pictures soon. |

i got a heater....one i brought back from tucson....it is pathetic to say the least...long johns and a heavy coat do the trick, i must admit, working in the extreme heat is a lot worse than a cold garage....i throw things around a lot less in the cold. |

Yes, got the whole kit and kabootle from KPGR. Nice detail to the product, but man is it soft, you really have to be careful, I'm sure it won't take long for it to match the rest of my car! Lol! |

What I noticed immediately when I got mine back on was how the trim brought out that lovely curve that rounds out the body. |

Really like your car. I can appreciate both restored ghias and patina. There's a few that look like mine, but nobody can mistake your ghia for any other on here. |

i got the ram protection on my bumpers, really like the way they look with the trim, i was lucky to find some that matched the rest of my bumper blades.
i can safely say now that i have a complete 58 coupe with all original parts, including all knobs, finally found a vintage shift knob.
also i am moving back down to the southwest, so my ghia will once again be nice and high and dry. |
