I know that you can get the peloqin (sp?) torque biasing differentials for both the 4 speed and the automatic but they are certainly a spendy unit so I was thinking about alternatives. One thing that came to mind is installing a Powertrax or lock right locking differential. They're available for axles from 26 up to 31 splines and since they're held in the stock differentials with the cross shaft it seems like it may be able to be adapted to either the manual or automatic transmissions. Anyone think it may work?
I know there are drawbacks (and benefits) to full automatic lockers versus limited slip or torque biasing differentials but lets just try to talk about the possibility of getting it to fit and work. |

I would prefer a full selectable locker to a LSD or TBD.
Which ones are you thinking may work? |

Do you have a link? I am not exactly sure what you are asking for, but if this is a complete unit like the quaife, it will need to have the proper dimensions machined into it for the differential bearings, the ring gear bolt holes and the proper offset of the ring gear mounting flange so that the back lash is correct. And yes if I understand your question, it would also need to have the proper ends to accept the splines of the output flanges that the CV joints bolt to. Unless someone has done this or you are a machinist, I'd be inclinded to go with one that is proven. _________________ ☮️ |
