My 67, all stock, original engine/matching numbers, built Oct 66 and sold out of Santa Monica. Always been a CA car, still has all the paperwork.
I've had it for about 15 years and have been slowly replacing some non-original parts with originals. Recently tracked down NOS Beige running board mats in Germany, beige fender bead, stock oil shocks and I'll be replacing the Brasilian fuel pump with an OG Pierburg next week.

New to this site. For a couple decades I have owned a 1967 Convertible VIN# 157 342 587. Also would like to get involved with any VW clubs or groups. We are located in Ventura California. Thanks for any information.

Hi Kristine! I saw you last weekend at the Palermo Coffee Shop in Ventura parked outside. I had my bug out there as well and we acknowledged each other's cars. I'm also looking into getting involved with a VW club and just the other day I hooked up with a club "Volkswagen Unlimited". They are a bunch of good guys who share the love and passion for these cars and are just out to drive and have fun. I'm thinking about joining. I can give you some more info and the dates of their next meet up. - Jason |

I didn't read the whole thread, but I have a 67 body on a 67 pan with different VINs. Neither VIN listed in the registry. Do you want body, pan or both? |

I read there may be reproduction white plastic seat belt clips that go on the lower B-pillar. Any truth to that or any source? _________________ Tan '67 Bug

Should say I have 3 67's. All with weathered original paint. Two of them are late Oct. '66 built built one day apart (the same week I was born!). One is Tan and the other is VW Blue. I also have a March '67 Sunroof that's Tan.
My first Tan '67 is VIN # 117272547, have to look up the other one. None of them had original engines. Looking for close matches to replace them.
Is there andy kind of '67 parts for sale community? I have a wanted ad in the classifieds but it's not getting much response. _________________ Tan '67 Bug

I looked at your ad and it might be faster to figure out exactly what you need and actively search for the parts rather than wait for wanted ad responses.
I believe several of the parts you are looking for are already listed in the classifieds right now. _________________ How to Post Photos

I believe I am VERY clear at what I am looking for as stated in my want ad. I have been working on and restoring vintage cars for 40 years and know how to search for parts going back to the old printed ads for sale. I have looked at all the for sale ads extensively and not found those exact parts I have been looking for. If there is one for sale such as the '67 seat belts all of them are either broken or in the case of Danny Z he has not responded to multiple e-mails I have sent saying I will buy his seat belt.
Anything else I may have missed? _________________ Tan '67 Bug

Do you still have the deck lid and rear apron from that one? I need a lot of 67 parts. |

I looked at your ad and it is very specific but the parts you are looking for are not easy to find. For example, you have a very narrow engine # range in your ad.
For the seat belts part, you could also email people who are parting out cars or selling similar parts to what you want and see if they have other things.
Anyway... here's a bunch of fuse holders
http://www.thesamba.com/vw/classifieds/search.php?submit=yes&type=text&keywords=fuse+holder
Seat belts, there are a bunch for sale
http://www.thesamba.com/vw/classifieds/search.php?...ton=Search
You are correct none of those look great. A lot of times if they don't retract that is an easy fix but they need to be cheap enough to buy a bunch of them and swap parts if needed. You are in S. CA, go a few VW swap meets and find some. I see them at almost every S. CA swap meet I attend. _________________ How to Post Photos
