Whats up everyone! I am new to the site here. On my 3rd vdub. First one I ever owned was a 69. Fuel filter melted on freeway and engine caught fire. Loved that thing. Traded up for a 68 that I quickly had to sell since I was moving and had no room where I was going. 15 Years later finally got my next project. 67 all original matching numbers with an H 1500 engine code, clean, 3rd owner has service records for 21 years of its life. Now its come to me in my life where I can now do all the things to it that I wanted and dreamed to do to my previous 2!! Excited about that!!

Should say I have 3 67's. All with weathered original paint. Two of them are late Oct. '66 built built one day apart (the same week I was born!). One is Tan and the other is VW Blue. I also have a March '67 Sunroof that's Tan.
My first Tan '67 is VIN # 117272547, have to look up the other one. None of them had original engines. Looking for close matches to replace them.
Is there andy kind of '67 parts for sale community? I have a wanted ad in the classifieds but it's not getting much response. |
Jim ... hoping you will post photos and list the other two VINs as you find them. Try 1967Beetle.com/Forum; it's a great resource. - dlf |

My 67, all stock, original engine/matching numbers, built Oct 66 and sold out of Santa Monica. Always been a CA car, still has all the paperwork.
I've had it for about 15 years and have been slowly replacing some non-original parts with originals. Recently tracked down NOS Beige running board mats in Germany, beige fender bead, stock oil shocks and I'll be replacing the Brasilian fuel pump with an OG Pierburg next week.

Just received my birth certificate on my 67 and found out I've been wrong about my car being built in Oct of 66. Turns out it was built November 10, 1966 and left the factory on the 18th of Nov. _________________ Savannah Beige 67/built Nov 10, 1966 |

Hey there 67 Dub T1, for a moment I thought it was interesting that your Java Green 67 was right hand drive, then I looked at the next pic and thought, no Dual Drive! That first pic must be reversed! My 67 is the same colour, posted earlier in the registry, Georgie Girl, (actually my wife's car) |

Hey all. It's about time that I post one of my 67's.
I give you VIN# 117042621
It was advertised in the samba classifieds and while some of you may have contacted the p.o. regarding things that you noticed in the pictures.
I snapped it up.
I am the proud 2nd owner of this fine example of a lightly modded 67 Beetle.
The car had been if the same family since purchased new in Aug 1966. Came with service records from the time of purchase to after the third engine. Where it went into storage. From there it was deeded to the original owners son. Who decided that he wanted to mod it a bit. Many thanks to you JP Decker. You did a great job making this a fun car.
Everything done to the car can be reversed.
It has a 1688 dual 34 solex carb dp engine with a mild cam. All German parts were used where available. Otherwise very high quality after market replacements.
Quite drivable and loads of fun.
Everything mechanically has been gone through from front to back.
All electrical issues have been solved and are in perfect working condition.
Gotta love the photo of the title showing the original list / purchase price of the car.
As the classified add stated "Is it perfect? No. Is it nice? YES."

Hi all i want to apologize first I have dropped the ball on this. I have been so busy with deployments and shipyard periods and transitioning to the rank of Chief in the navy that I have finally gotten time to update. I have about 30 more cars I will be adding today. So look forward to that I will be more involved with updates. Again I'm sorry for the delay, again I haven't forgotten about any of you. _________________ 61 Type 1 Patina
