Hi everyone,
I'm new to the barndoor forum usually following the split beetle section. The barndoor / early type 2 bug is starting to bite me a bit. I thought I'd start a discussion so sorry if this topic has been covered already.

I live not too far from the famous John Chips yard in Delhi, Ontario Canada. It was cleaned up years ago but I remember going there when I was younger in my 62 beetle and talking to Mr. Chips. He was an interesting guy for sure.

Does anyone know anything about this bus that was in his yard? What ever happened to it? There was rumour that it was a 1950 panel. Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

Do have a specific date of when this pic was taken? Any other pics?

That`s the picture I took in the mid `80s.... this is the cropped version. If you do a search, the story on what happened to the yard is somewhere on this site.
