THANK YOU SO MUCH CHRIS! Im so excited to get this all set up on my car and enjoy driving my car with it!
i had fun taking everything out of the box and checking it out
the clutch looks good! and the sindered bronze disc too! the solenoid works and I sucked on the servo and it works great too, very little suction yields enough pull that i couldnt hold the plunger back with my arm no matter how hard I pull- NEAT!!!

There is (or was) a Saxomat equipped beetle in California owned by VW collector Carl Belcher (aka Peanuts) for years. He had a small VW museum as I recall. The car was in a couple of books proported to be a 1960 but sure looked like a 61 to me. Maybe someone knows its whereabouts as it was a running driving car.
