What size of car carrier i.e length and width will fit a beetle. Just the right size, not overly large. We want to go to a car show and would like to not drive our beetle that far.
Thanks in advance |

Just get a standard car hauler trailer from uhaul. 55 bucks. Easy to load. Comes with ramps. Fit my slammed bug with a narrowed beam no problem, so it should work for anyone... |

Or get out your tape measure and measure your car. _________________ Mother Nature is a Mean Evil Bitch! |

just hauled one on a 6'6" x 12' all i had to do was put the rear up on a 2x4 so the exhaust would clear the metal framing, i didnt have to do this but it has a built on ramp that hinges and it woudn't have cleared the bumper when i raised the ramp to lock it in place. it you just use regular ramps like wooden planks you wouldnt have to put it up on the 2x4's _________________ go fast or go home |

Show is about six hours from here.
We are actually looking into the possibility of buying one. For the four days at 60.00 a day it's a little steep considering we might want to have one to go on a longer trip some time next year.
If we buy one, we're looking at getting one just a bit larger to haul our new beetles (why DH wants to haul the NB's I do not know and am sort of afraid to ask)
Thanks for the info. |
