Do not waste time fitting a VW dual circuit M/C. The Corvair rear cylinders are huge compared to the VW. You will never get a good pedal. You need 2 M/C, one sized to the VW for the front and a second sized to the rear cylinders. Use something from Wilwood or the like. Floor mount preferred.

On the Powerglide transmission on my '63 Impala, there was mechanical linkage from the carb to the transmission that downshifted it for passing when you stomped on the gas. Could that be what the linkage on your Corvair setup is for? |
