No crank case tube, and no tube from the oil fill. The picture Bob posted shows it pretty well. A couple of other 61 only threads that may be useful to you:

While not the original manufacturer, you can buy that style of fuel pump with the upward facing fuel supply line that goes to the carb from cip1:
http://www2.cip1.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=VWC%2D211%2D127%2D025
I have that fuel pump on my 61 engine, and while I had to shim it to death to reduce fuel pressure to 3psi, it does work well. _________________ 1950 Pearl Grey Hoffman Standard Split Window

Hi everybody,
I have two different Hella Headlights lenses on my may '60 ragtop.
Wich one is the rigth one? The "crown" logo'ed or the other (later?). I haven't see any other difference between those headlights.

The top lens (without the crown) should be older, as the outside of the Hella logo wraps around the "H." Around 1957-58, the left side of the "H" became the left edge of the logo. _________________ Thanks,

Question on the 40 horse case. The early 40s seem to have a small hole in the case where the the genny stand builts at for oil fill so what year and engine did the hole change to the larger size? |

Here is my 1960 Indigo Blue European bug. It was built in December of '59. The front turn signals were added and the semaphore holes had been covered with lead, I can only assume to meet US safety specs.

Just finished reading, Great thread. I recently picked up this '61. It was a runner but I had to fix a few things and I lowered it. Mostly og paint but it's a shame someone started stripping the front fender.

nice to see a dedicated thread for these years as they are unique. Although should it extend to 59?
here is my paprika australian built 1960. Oct 1959 built. Most components are manufactured in 59 but I believe it dates by VIN as a 1960.
I picked this up for xmas last year. I am mid restoration of the pan and the body will be rat treated. Not sure about the interior.
