any AMC, except the javelin |
That's hurtful, just hurtful. Nothin made my mullet look as cool as my old AMC Eagle, the original crossover. |
AMC was a pretty solid car builder overall. I have an AMC Eagle, that car will go anywhere, anytime. |
I had an AMC Eagle, fun car, lots of character, but the rear leaf springs were rusting through the body, everything inside was super cheapo, it had no power and the body was falling apart. The AMC eagles have problems of the door handles breaking... and they're metal handles... seriously, the casting is so bad that you can break it opening the door. |
Drove mine for years in the snow and salt, never had issues but I am one of those idiots that actually cares about my vehicles and washes them on a semi regular basis . As for the door handles, what were you doing to yours? I never had that issue, (or any other Eagle owner I know) and that was through winters with frozen doors etc. No power? Mine had plenty of pep, again, I'm an idiot for maintaining my vehicles so they run right... |
Same here. I am one of those people that actually washes underneath the car as well. And I have an automatic transmission in my other car that has lasted for 200k miles, yet everyone claims that they only last for 100k miles with luck. Its amazing what regular maintance can do. |

Anyone out there ever owned a Citroen CV2? A friend of mine swore it was the worst car ever. Hard to believe since they sold so many...

At us in services of the master very much complain on VW Т5 2,5TDI... Speak, that any trifle to change under a cowl - it is necessary to disassemble a car floor ... ... And here VW Т5 1,9TDI in this plan and is easier and cheaper ... _________________ Т5 2005 АХВ |

Translation: For us T5 2.5 TDi owners any trifling maintenance under the hood requires the disassembly of the car floor. Tish and Pish, what a pallavah I'd much rather work on the T5 1.9TDi, in comparison it's a piece of piss. |
Translation: The T5 2.5 TDi is difficult to work on, you have to remove the floor to gain access. It's easier and less expensive to work on the T5 1.9 TDi. |

They say that about Beetles. |
I would trade my 55 oval rag, my bus, and just about any other cars I own for an original Citroën 2CV Sahara model.

Holy crap, My ex-mother in law had one of those, back in mid 80's. Every time you went around a corner it felt like it was going to roll. Handled like crap. I swore I'd never own one. Then I drove one in 1999 and it handled great. Bought it and the ex-wife drove 120k no problems. So because they have improved so much I bought me one in '07.
Death on 4 wheels.

I have had great luck with a 2000 Infiniti. Let's face it, it's an upgraded Nissan. But that means it's been rock solid reliable (starter is only failure in over 110K miles). Nicer interiors, and the reliability and good handling of a Nissan. What's not to like but the price? Same as Lexus, Acura, etc. |

My best friend has an '09 frontier, purchased new. The paint is literally peeling off to primer/bare metal in about 20 various areas. Nissan has refused to rectify the problem under warranty. IMO, Nissan drivetrains are really decent... but the rest of their product sucks. They seem to decompose faster than just about any other car. |
