While I was under my bus checking cleaning up the ground strap, I noticed my tranny has switch for a backup light. What year did they first install them?

Not at the beginning of the run in '67 but in the '67 model year.

so i am guessing my tranny is from later bus? I figured my sluggish starter problem. I pulled the starter out and noticed the bushing was super loose and it was kind of odd that it didnt have one in the first place. I installed an autostick starter and now it cranks like a beast. Maiden voyage is getting closer and closer.

Maiden Voyage is in the books. Bled brakes, adjusted clutch and backed her out of the garage. The kids jumped in and I took her around the block!!!!!!! We were all laughing and yelling like kids. Man, I love this stuff.

Congratulations! Getting em' running IS a huge deal, especially after they've been sitting for as long as your's has. Ah ha! Now we know what you look like too... prime suspect! Cute kids!

What's next on the list?

Progress, I was able to get my running lights, headlights (hi and Low), and rear lights working. Now on to the blinkers. My Blinker switch is supposed to be from a 63 bus but I can't seem to match the colors on the schematics.

Put the bumper on and a different decklid. I have the correct one but it needs body work.
