Me Too! I have my carpet out now and doing some rewiring. This would be the perfect time to build a console.

Here ya go guys,
Just use these measurements to make some cardboard templates then trim or add as necessary to get your shape right.

I've got thick carpet and insulation underneath as well as a quick shift kit which holds my carpet up so my console may sit higher than some others
also allow some room to get at the fuses.

Thanks, Joel! This will be great. I take it those measurements aren't in inches... Americans are way to stubborn to learn the metric system but I think my kid has a metric ruler around here somewhere.

Metric to standard: Divide metric figure by 25.4
(mm to inches)

420mm/25.4=16.5"

Great idea, now this topic is back on page 1 and I can find it easy when I get home from work. Looked at the plastic consoles and for the money they're crap. I'll build my own thankyou. Cool Cool

Gravity.

It's a tight enough fit over the the tunnel and against the bottom of the dash that it doesnt move once it's in place

This is an old thread and the images are no longer visible. Joel, would you be able to share the measurements and specs of your center console again?
