Thanks Rich! Theres only a small portion of VW enthusiasts that will appreciate some of the detailed work I've done. It's an exciting feeling putting together a car at this level, it's definitely a challenge.

This week the engine case got finished getting the chem dye penetrant treatment Very Happy Also Mr. Okrasa has recieved the heads back from Clyde Berg after the welding had been done and I have attached some after pictures so you can see the difference of the extra surface area where the liner seats against the cylinder head now. I also got my OT pulley in the mail just the other day so I figured I toss a few pictures of it up as well.

Thanks Joe for all the updates and pics! Dancing

I have the duo of Jerry (JerFab) & Paul Smoot taking care of welding, body and paint details. As far as color combos are concerened it all depends what day of the week you ask me.. Very Happy ...I'm still undecided, but know for certain I'm doing a stock color for paint and letherette interior with stock color as well.

It's original black L41, Ultramaroon L276 and Iceland Green L213 are the top choices right now.

Here is a tough little piece to find... 54-55 generator pulley along with correct hub, washers (thick/thin) & big nut. I got lucky as the pulley is a NOS piece. Shocked

I dropped by to visit Joe this past Tuesday and was surprised to find my long block practically all done. I should have some more progress photos soon, until than here's something for your viewing pleasure!

Nice! I agree those are hard to find, especially NOS.

Now I'm not happy with my used one. Wink

Joe sent me these awesome update photos last night of the long block build. I am VERY impressed with the build and progress. Joe used his own Mr.Okrasa 69.5mm counterweighted, balanced, hardend, 8 dowell stroker crankshaft with nitrided journals and performance grind 36hp camshaft in the build. It's all begining to take form now! Very Happy
