I'm trying to compile a list of Barndoors planning to attend the gathering this June. This is for the configuration of parking or how the Busses will be lined up? Will participants please contact me via email or PM me. This information is strictly confidential and will only be shared with the two top dogs of OCTO, The Beard and Chuck D.
Octo June shows is our biggest show of the year, The idea to put on a special display of barndoor busses is an awesome idea and will be talked about for a long time. People should be encouraged to talk and brag about what busses they are bringing or might bring. This is good thing to pump things up and get ready for the count down.
I encourage all of you who might be bringing your barndoor out to post up pictures here talk about what you’re doing to get your bus here or what help you might need to get it here. This has the potential to be the greatest gathering of barndoors ever.
I have been working on post contacting people & connections to bring out all there (barndoor) literature, toys & rare parts & information to display share or sell with everybody in a special area
There I did the edit thing
The June OCTO show is for sure the biggest we (OCTO) do. This event will not only be huge, it will be one to put down in the record book. I've been receiving tons of PM's and email from folks bringing their BD's to the gathering. I'm with Ed, hype the gathering even more with your information. But if you'd rather remain silent, no worries. Though I would like to know who's coming and bringing their rides? I too have been in contact with BD peeps both National and International. There will be LOTS of parts, literature and as well, Barndoor's for sale. This is the show to be if you are looking for that missing piece or a good/NOS replacement piece/part.
It's hard to pin point the number of Barndoors coming, but rest assure the number will be OUT OF CONTROL! That's for sure, as I am going by the information I've been receiving from Barndoor owners.

Ed, this will be the greatest Barndoor gathering ever! As I am shocked, so will you and the rest of the folks, of the potenial turn out. The swap area is going to be loaded with stuff come June! As well enthusiats from all corners of the world. I really don't know when a gathering of this caliber will surface again?
I've also contracted the Picasso of the VW world to create the awards for oldest bus present and the longest distance driven Barndoor. Very abstract and uique looking awards.
Keep spreading the word and the hype! This is going to be one awesome show to attend and never to be forgotten. _________________ http://barndoormafia.skynetblogs.be/

The 1954 "Downey" Barndoor Panel saw the road for the first time since 1973 yesterday due to the mechanical magic of 10 Foot Doug The Head and some help from our friends George Schmidt of the Butcher Shop and Gibbs Connors of the Holy Hebrew Garage in sourcing some necessary brake parts we needed...

nice work and thanks for the props!
for those that don't look at the barndoor mafia thread, i took my 53 out for a rip the other day. this was just the beginning while the heat risers were still warming up. the stunt driving and state tropper ducking techniques and manuevers took place later and were not filmed due to the witness protection act.

Like most of our shows (Octo) we still don't know if it will be at Angel Stadium or at Long Beach Veterans Stadium. It will be one or the other for sure. As soon as we know it will be posted. Every time we put on a big show we have to jump thru hoops and do back flips just to get it done.
