East cost Survivor. Bought brand new in UN (New York) then brought to MI (by his nephew who inherited it and tucked it away) when the original owner passed away has not been on the road since 1995 in NY.

This one is original, motor, paint, interior. Missing the roof rack has all tent poles but no material but does have two awnings and their poles for above the cargo doors. Luckily I have a correct roof rack and a bay drive away tent.

This is as close to 0 rust as you are going to find here, it is cleaner than my AZ double cab.

Here is the bus as found the owner towed it out of the back corner of his barn.

I think I saw an ad today in the classifieds (search "west") for a tent without the poles... perhaps a match made in heaven??? Holy Shit! Those are the original "early" SO-42 curtains!!! Awesome!

Yowza!
Based on the condition of that front seat, I'm betting the clock hasn't turned over on this bus.
What's the odometer say?

Truck, Pearl White SO-42 Westy, orange Thing in your garage. Why does that look familiar? Oh yeah, now I remember...

Very cool, just on the other side of the country right!
If you look carefully my double is wearing the westy rack and has been for years time to put it on something more appropriate.

Congrats again - that Westy looks incredible. Is the spare tire mounted to the bumper or nose?

Tag on the bed is 655.

Yes smiling but I paid very dearly for this bus the owner knew what he had and wasn't budging. But luckily for me I have never seen a nicer original it was still well worth it.

Oops on the tent material it is there, what I thought was just an awning folded out to a massive tent, guess I'm slipping.

I guessed that on the number cause those curtains were only through 667.

I'm not surprised it wasn't cheap.
more pics. Very Happy

Good deal on the cutains I had never seen that material before.

Spare tire is mounted to the front bumper with a galvanized steel bracket with clamps, owner stated that was their from day 1 when his uncle purchased the van. I will pull M-codes tonight I checked that it is a B42.

Here is some morning eye candy.

OMG Ben...

Can I come over and help you wash it? Do you need help getting it running well? If it has been stored for that long, think about fuel lines/tank cleaning, carb rebuild, gear lube change and tires(I'm sure that you have the tires covered)

That westy is Schweeet!

Congrats my friend. Now go to work so you can pay for that beauty.
I bet you can't wait to get home to fondle your new find!

I'm off work on Thursday if you want some company...

I'm ready for tires on the crusty scab when u are.

Awesome find. Probably the nicest original westy with that early fabrik #in existence. Protect those curtains at all costs. I had a westy for several years with fabrik # 666 that still had its original curtains just like those. I thought it was probably the only westy in existence with those early curtains. I have been proven wrong. As noted earlier, those curtains stopped at #667. They make your westy super rare and unique. Now I can say there are probably only two westies in the world with those curtains. Here is a photo of mine taken a couple of years ago.

Congrats on finding what you were looking for. Hope you can bring it out to a west MI show in the next year or two. We would all love to see it.
