And another just joined the CNY Buggy Club!, Owner doesn't know anything about the body either.. They must be fairly common.. Just as I start to let it go that I don't know who made it, another one shows up!

Wine is still up for grabs Very Happy

I always thought it was a Sears Rascal but now that I look at a Rascal on the DBA it's not but I have no idea what it is.

The big difference is how the tail sticks out. Also of note, there is no wells in the back seat area, it's flat.

Please see my build thread link in my signature for more photos.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

Please note: Originally the license plate area was all one piece, We added on to it to make a cover, but that would normally be molded in.

I looked through the whole DBA list and narrowed it down but I'm sure I'm paying attention to details that don't matter and ignoring those that do. Smile

Not a Nostalgia, they were never built with a plastic dash.

Irwin sold mostly up northeast way, hard to tell from a Manx it's such a close copy until the made a badge indent for an oval.

I guess more photos of details can tell you what it's not.
It's hard to know who copied who sometimes.

Got one need Samba opinions on.

Thick body Truck kit with ''T" hood.
My neighbor bartered this in a trade... Asked me to get it running... Done.
Not too bad, just needs some TLC.
He wants it sold, so thought I'd help identify it as well.
My finding = Sand Rover T ???

Trying to ID this buggy for a friend. I tried the DAB and looked at ones with ridges on the hood and struck out. Perhaps I overlooked it. Anyone?

So, I sent off to get a pedigree for my buggy. Winnie says that its not a Manx 2 (it has everything but the data plate) and I would like to know what it might or might not be. It has the classic shape, a smooth hood with the shield bump, the box rear and no tubes under the fenders. Its also a flat rear seat (no battery or spare area) and the dash is molded into the hood. It does have a texturing on the dash where the gauges go but the rest is smooth. Any ideas? If you need more pics, LMK

The ugly tail lights were added by the PO, and possibly the 2 faux raised hood scoops. And the holes in the rear seat was the PO's attempt at installing a rollbar

Any idea??

It is interesting that it has a transmission hump for extra clearance.

Yeah, that extra trans hump seems unusual.

I think the trans hump is due to this buggy ummmmm inbreeding? When you take a mold from a body the dimensions change slightly, lets say you take a mold from the molded body, now you have compounded the problem - see the film Duplicity (ha-ha). Anyway I think the backend has sagged to the point it was necessary to mold in a clearance. I don't have anything on file for this body style unfortunatly
