Here is a place where you can ask, what kind of body is this??
I see this question pop up on a weekly basis so instead of having like 10 different threads, ask here.
Please go to this website first to try and identify your Buggy and if you can't figure it out, feel free to ask us!

Ian,
Great idea. However the DBA buggy ID is not a very well maintained or updated
resource. There are a lot of fiberglass buggys that are not in the database.
At least on the Samba a good answer/id is usually posted in a couple of hours.

Yeah, I know the DBA is not updated, but it's a start for someone that is looking for an ID.
So, I think that this ID thread should help for anyone who is still having problems figuring it out. _________________ All your Buses are belong to us.

I agree, great idea. The thread will build its own "database" for comparison and like the abortions thread will have folks referencing the buggies posted in earlier pages. It will be a fun process and maybe help all those guys desperate to authenticate thier Manx. Or not. _________________ Gary

What do you guys thing this one is? I think it has a Desert Fox look, but not exactly sure. It's been on my local CL and I'm curious. A little funky looking, but still kind of cool.

The DBA IS updated almost daily. We are only 3 guys working in spare time collecting what info we can locate. There is also not that much NEW info coming out on 40 year old buggies. What do you expect for a 100% FREE service we provide.
All three bodies in this thread are in our Archives database.
They may or may not be online but we have them on file.

That was an amazing list of buggies. I never realized how many different buggies there are! However, I could still not find my body style.
It looks most like "X0027", but mine is a full chassis, intended to be a 4-seater. It has no ID... Any help?

I looked through the DBA and could not find this body. I know I have seen them before based on the rear end.

Here is some better shots of my buggy body I got last week. The front license plate mount did not show up very well, but it is there.

Ian people are not going to randomly look at the sticky unless they have a body. I feel eventually it can be placed in the sticky after a number of replies. _________________ Matthew Pate

I'm not sure what the problem is here. I have had multiple e-mails about this.
this thread is a sticky, its at the top.
If somebody is browsing this forum and is wondering what kind of buggy they have, why wouldn't they post in this thread??
Its really not complicated.
And I do appreciate the few people who actually posted buggy ID's in this thread...that's what it's for!! _________________ All your Buses are belong to us.

You will not get live feedback. People do not want to go a sticky for an ID of a buggy. The forum is for question and answer help. The sticky is good for commonly asked issues, problems, etc., but the ID of buggy should be a live continuous track in the forum. I know I do not go browse the ID section due to it not being kept up by new posts. That is the issue. So please possibly rethink the idea of this as a sticky. Thanks! _________________ Matthew Pate

Well stated ^^^^
There have been a few "ID my buggy" threads that have turned into a good informative thread/build in the past.
(I just thought I killed the sticky because I smelled funny or something) _________________ Bad News Racing 2018 NORRA 1000 3rd in Class
